Telford had worked for many years in a bank, and had progressed to a senior role which involved him travelling overseas.
He decided that he wanted a change, so he applied for the job of manager in a small provincial branch in Dover. He raised a few eyebrows back at headquarters for his lenient
attitude to debtors, but he succeeded in attracting a large Dutch firm to open an office in the town and to bank with his branch. After badly advising the managing director of a local
electronics firm to expand too quickly, he rescued the situation by suggesting that the MD should act as financial advisor to a brilliant inventor who had no idea how to run a successful
business.

Mrs Telford did not want to move to Dover and stayed with her teenage son in London. Before long she had met a theatre director (played by Keith Barron) and they tentatively began having an affair. By the final episode, Telford had got the concept of being a bank manager out of his system and was arranging to go back to his previous job.

At a first-night party for a play being staged by Mrs Telford's lover, Telford showed up unexpectedly and gave a very charming and magnanimous speech in praise of the lover's theatrical abilities, while making it quite clear that he knew full-well what his wife had been up to and that, while he did not in any way condone it, he desperately wanted her back.

Vengeance Unlimited complete

is a TV series broadcasted during 1998-1999 which lasted for just one season of sixteen episodes. The show starred Michael Madsen as Mr. Chapel, a mysterious and pragmatic character keen on serving justice to those who have been ignored by the law (similar to The Equalizer). The show originally aired Thursdays at 8:00 pm up against Top 5 hits Friends and Jesse.

When Mr. Chapel takes a case, his demand is simple. Either pay a very high fee, $1 million, or promise to do him a favor at some time in the future whatever, whenever and wherever he needs you then your debt will be paid in full. In the series pilot, it becomes clear that Mr. Chapel has been doing this for quite some time, as he calls in more than one such favor to help his clients. A running joke throughout the series came whenever one of Mr. Chapel's former clients paid their debt. Mr. Chapel would say, "We're even. I'm out of your life. Forever." The client would invariably respond, "Thank God!"

Chapel makes few promises. Those that he does make, he will fulfill (or die trying). On one occasion, he handcuffs one man in a car, with a dump truck hurtling toward it; when the man gives in, Chapel dives into the car to unlock the cuffs and pull the man to safety at the last instant.

Way Upstream is a play by Alan Ayckbourn. It was first performed, under Ayckbourn's direction, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK, "in the round" at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, on 2 October 1981.[1] Although realistic in style, with a setting of a hired cabin cruiser on an English river, some journalists read it as an allegory of the political state of England at the time, with the violent resolution of the usurping captain's tyrannical regime taking place at "Armageddon Bridge", and crew members "Alistair" and "Emma" (representing an innocent "Adam" and "Eve") making a new start at the end. Ayckbourn, however, always maintained he was an apolitical writer and is on frequent record for his lack of interest in party politics; his website makes it clear that the play is not about the political state of the nation.

Emlyn's Moon was the second in The Snow Spider Trilogy written by a great children's author Jenny Nimmo. It was often suggested (unfairly in my opinion) that the books were difficult to get into because of the complicated subject of child loss (for more information see the Snow Spider pages on Little Gems).
