Vampires was a television ‘Play for today’ by Dixie Williams originally broadcast in 1979. Real-life brothers Peter and Paul Moran play two kids hunting imaginary vampires around Merseyside, until flights of imagination, an obsession with old Hammer films shown on the telly late at night, and a cranky joke shop proprietor take things a step too far.
